Price Floor Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

The short version

Price Floor (“the app”, package com.cesare8.pricefloor) is an Android app published by Fast Forward Creatives, which is the data controller for the purposes of this policy.

Price Floor has no account, no login and no server of its own, and the developer gets no analytics about you. Everything you enter stays in the app’s private storage on your own device. The one part of the app that uses the network is Google Play Billing, which is there to sell and restore the Shop Pass subscription — see Network use below. Unlike most of our other apps, Price Floor is included in Android’s backup system, so that changing phone does not lose your costing work — see Backups and transfer.

What is stored on your device

For each product you add, the app saves a record so the Fix List and The Mirror can show your real hourly wage. Each record contains only what you typed in:

  • the product name,
  • its list price and the shipping you charge,
  • its material cost, actual postage, marketplace and payment fees, and promoted-listing spend,
  • how many minutes it takes to make,
  • any tags you have given it,
  • an identifier for the record.

Your shop settings are stored the same way: your target floor wage, your invisible-hours estimates (photography and listing, messaging, post office and packing, remakes and scrap), and whether invisible hours are counted. A single flag recording whether you have seen the first-launch hint is also kept.

All of this lives in the app’s private storage, readable only by Price Floor on this device. None of it is sent to the developer, and there is no Price Floor server to send it to.

Backups and transfer

If Android’s backup is switched on for your device, the app’s product database and its settings are included in your own Google account backup, and in Android’s phone-to-phone transfer. This is deliberate: a seller who replaces their phone should not lose the costing work they have built up.

That backup is made and encrypted by Android, into your Google account, not the developer’s. We have no access to it and never see it. You control whether it happens at all in your device’s backup settings, and you can switch it off there. It is covered by the Google Privacy Policy, not this one.

Because of this, uninstalling removes the copy on your device but may not remove a copy already held in your own Google backup. Android’s backup settings are where you clear that.

Network use and Google’s own components

Price Floor has no server and makes no network requests of its own. One third-party component does use the network: Google Play Billing, which sells the Shop Pass subscription and restores it. Two things follow from that, and are worth stating plainly:

  • Play Billing connects to Google Play when the app starts, to ask whether your subscription is active and to look up its price in your local currency. This happens whether or not you ever buy anything.
  • Play Billing is what puts the INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions on the app. They appear on the Play listing for that reason, not because Price Floor sends anything of its own. It also bundles Google’s own libraries, which report diagnostics about the billing library to Google, on Google’s terms, not to the developer.

Nothing Price Floor stores about your shop — not a price, not a cost, not a making time — is part of any of that. From a purchase the developer sees only the order record Google Play shows every developer: a date, the product, an order ID and an amount. Google’s handling of this traffic is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Purchases

The Shop Pass is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or yearly. It renews at the same price until you cancel, and the price you see is set by Google Play in your local currency. Google Play, not the developer, processes the payment and holds the record of it. No card number, billing address or Google account information passes through the app.

The app asks Google Play whether your Shop Pass is active, unlocks unlimited products if it is, and confirms the purchase back to Google Play. It writes no purchase record, receipt or payment information to your device.

You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in your Google Play account. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the period already paid for. Refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policy.

What Price Floor does not do

  • It has no account, login or sign-in of any kind.
  • It contains no analytics, crash-reporting, attribution or session-replay software, and does not track how you use it.
  • It shows no ads and contains no advertising software. It does not read the advertising ID.
  • It does not ask for location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files, and reads no device identifiers.
  • It does not send marketing email, because it has no way to contact you.
  • Your product data, pricing and business information are never sold or shared with anyone, including the developer. They never reach us at all.

Permissions

Price Floor requests three permissions, all of them for Google Play Billing and nothing else:

  • INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — so Play Billing can reach Google Play to check your subscription and look up its price.
  • com.android.vending.BILLING — so a Shop Pass purchase can be made and confirmed.

Links in the app, such as this policy or managing your subscription, open in your own browser or the Play Store app. That is an ordinary request made by that other app, and the site you land on sees it like any other visit.

Not financial advice

Price Floor performs arithmetic on figures you enter and shows the result. It does not convert between currencies, does not know your real costs, and is not tax, accounting or financial advice. What you charge remains your decision.

Children

Price Floor is a business tool for makers and sellers, and is not directed to children. It is intended for a general adult audience. The developer does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, because the app collects no personal information at all.

Your choices

  • Delete a single product at any time from the Fix List using the trash icon on its row.
  • Clear everything by uninstalling the app, or by clearing its storage in Android’s app settings.
  • Stop the app being backed up, and clear an existing backup, in your device’s backup settings.
  • Cancel the Shop Pass in your Google Play account.

Because the developer holds no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on request. Anything the app knows is on your device and under your control.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes what it collects or stores, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the “last updated” date above will change.
